Meet Monika

My Kanine Kitchen was born from combining my love of cooking and my passion for researching ingredients that benefit the health of dogs. When researching dog nutrition, I quickly became aware of how many unhealthy ingredients and product recalls were associated with commercial dog food and mass-produced treats. I had already been making my own dog food so adding healthy treats to my repertoire seemed like a natural progression. 

I soon found myself at local farmers markets where my products were very well received. I love the interaction with both dogs and their owners, where I get to share the benefits of the products I make verses mass produced products made with little regard to animal health. 

My products are made with real food ... no additives, preservatives, colors or dyes.  I love researching an ingredient to find the health benefits for dogs, then creatively finding a way to incorporate it into a delicious treat for them.  

Monika lives in Worton, Maryland, with her beloved fur babies. She will open her heart and always lend a hand to any animal in need.  She will forever cherish her heart dog, Zuda, the basset that changed everything.
